Romeo and juliet question?

Tybalt is mythologically the king of cats. Mercutio is the embodiment of the the classical Mercury - god of words and language - that's why he goes off on flights of fancy like the Queen Mab speech. You have to speak his lines to get a feel of what is going on. When Mercutio dies, the audience should feel that light and brilliance are gone from the world. Tybalt has always seemed more prosaic to me, only a step or two away from a bully.
