I feel exactly the same way you do. I believe in God, but I think religion is man-made and destructive. You can leave the church without leaving your faith behind. You can find a church that better suits your beliefs...or you can skip church and pray/worship/etc. on your own.

I can't update my iPod Touch 4 to iOS 4.3.3 (please read description)?

Whenever I try to update me iPod to 4.3.3 I get an error message saying an unknown error occoured. Error (3194). I have done a little research on the error and have found out that apple is trying to restrict people who have jailbroken from updating. I have not jailbroken my iPod Touch 4 but i did try to jailbreak my iPod Touch 3G on the same computer. Every site i go to tells me to go into my host file and put in some line but when I do and I try to save it i get a message saying i don't have permission and to contact the administrator to get permission. I AM THE ADMINISTRATOR!!! So if anyone could help me either update my iPod or save my host file I will grant them 10 points as long as it works. Thanks!

Sadly, people place more meaning in their religion then their faith. Nowhere in the bible, old or new, does it state that you should follow this or that religion. Only that you should believe in God and Jesus and that He died for your sins, etc. That is what makes you a Christian and I believe that is all that matters in the long run. Don't let any religion dictate what you should believe, if it doesn't feel right to you.

Humming noise coming from indoor central air?

I turned my central air on and heard a humming noise. Saw that the filter was dirty and changed it and the noise is still there however when I open the intake grate and remove the filter the noise stops. Put the filter back in and it starts again. Please help

I had to reboot my computer and for some reason my iTunes library deleted every single music/video file that was originally on there and only has some of the music on there. Why do people ignore peronal doubts and truth?

I see so many people that do not question their beliefs and ignore all truth, they lie to themselves just so that they dont have to admit that they are wrong and let go of their false beliefs. They dont realize that nothing bad can come out of questioning beliefs, you will either strengthen your beliefs by confronting these doubts, or you will find truth. But they are terrified of finding truth, they dont see that truth is the most merciless force in the whole universe and whether you choose to ignore it, it will still exist, even if your back is turned towards it.

You said a lot of what runs through my head so often. I guess it's true that it is whatever it is that makes you happy in life that makes it worth living, could be the smallest thing. I've got a family, but sometimes i feel alienated from them. I've got friends, but they don't quite understand me. I guess i'm still here in hope that things will improve, but every other day i get to that low level. You could say i wanna find someone more in common with me maybe, someone not so mainstream. It's day to day stuff that gets to me. Right now when i feel most happy is when i'm able to listen to my music, but this isn't enough at all. Hopefully things will get better for us all.

Cant get weed trimmer to prime?

its a craftsman weed trimmer about 1yr old and used only about 4 times total. i cant seem to get the fuel up into the "bulb". pressing the "bulb" does pressurize the tank, but cant get fuel to the "bulb". I have taken out what i think is the filter that is in the tank with no results. i have also blown air into the hose that is attatched to the filter and air does seem to be going through the system(nothing seems to restrict air flow). is there anything else i can try before taking it to the shop

I am trying to understand how unlocking works. I have an 'unlocked' 6310i. It used to be on Orange. Does that mean it is unlocked from Orange but still locked to other networks???? When I put in a Tesco mobile sim it is asking for a restriction code. What's the difference between unlocked and restricted? Bearded dragon not eating?

My bearded dragon is 4 years old, and refuse to eat. He is losing weight. I feed him a mixture of grated carrots, pumpkin and a herb salad mix. He gets 2 crickets a day, which is all he eats. I also have a small bowl of dry food available at all times. He gets fresh food and water every day, but don't even wants to taste it. I already had him de wormed 3 times. The vet can not find anything wrong. he gets at least a hour of morning sun if the weather plays along. His cage is heated and on a thermostat. The warm spot is 32 degrees celsius and the cooler spot 25. He also gets uv drops once a week. Im in South Africa and it is the winter season at the moment. The seasons doesn't have a effect, cause he didn't eat in the summer as well. Please help

Why do people believe that atheists (or non-believers of a certain religion) are not forever loved by God?

Love is nothing more than part of our genetic makeup for survival. We make it more than it is. God, if he/she/it exists is no more love than it would be, hate. No emotion would be significant enough for something as great as a creator of the universe to even take notice. What I'm trying to say is love, for us is so strong an emotion, we think it must be connected to god. Its an illusion. You could just as well say god is intestinal gas if it meant as much to you as love does.

How to litter train 8 week old Female rabbit.?

I have a long rectangle size rabbit cage (top half metal bottom half plastic) on wheels low to the ground. I just got my 8 week old bunny last wednesday. The litter box is a triangle with grate that sits above the litter with a guard that snaps into place (So she does not lay in the mess) and the unit hangs in the corner on the wall of the cage so she can not move it around. I have the food and water on each side as I know the food and water go right through her. She chooses to urinate on the two long sides of the cage. 2-3 times a day I clean her cage and use Natures Miracle to remove the mess and get the odor out. She leaves some pellets in the litter box but the rest she leaves along all other adjacent sides of the cage. What are my options, I thought of just filling her entire cage with the litter bedding (Care Fresh) however she tries to eat it so that is no longer an option. I tried leaving a soaked urinated tissue in the litter box to associate the smell to the litter box hoping she would go. I never scold her because she does not know better and it would do nothing if I did.Please advise as I am persistent and open to suggestions.

no fair, if I tried to trick my son like that he'd still refuse it! I sneak veggies into anything I can, I puree them with smoothies, pasta sauce, actually anything involving mince is great for sneaking veggies, I always sneak in grated carrot, spinach, mushrooms and onion, sometimes I sneak pumpkin if I feel adventurous. anything made into chips go down pretty well, so that gives potato, sweet potato, carrot and pumpkin. rice is good as well, I sneak carrot and spinach into rice too.

Why is my shoulder sore?

How to grill hamburger patties on a charcoal grill?

I admit, I am a grill rookie. I'm trying to grill burgers on the grill. I have a Weber charcoal kettle grill. Last night, I grilled some burgers. They turned out so so. The problem was that some of the patties fell apart. I know that you should only flip once, but here in lies the problem, when the grease and juice from the patties hit the charcoal briquettes, this caused flames to rise and the patties got way to charred on the outside. I like my burgers medium with nice slight grill marks. In essence, how do I keep the patties in tact and keep the flames to a minimum so they cook nicely without burning? Am I using to much charcoal, is the grill grate causing the patties to stick? Any advise, please share.

I'm not trying to insult anyone that actually enjoyed this game nor am I trying to insult its producers, it was just hard for me to get into it for more than an hour at a time. For starters, what was up with the graphics? I suppose they tried to make it look like a comic book or something to add to its comedic nature, it just didn't seem like a good idea to me though. Secondly, the plot. Aside from the fact that throughout the game you're playing in a region that you have practically no knowledge of regarding its history (thus making it difficult to embrace) your entire game experience consists of you being manipulated by a satellite and going after a vault that you know nothing about: the fact that there was a monster in it was also a horrible let down. Thirdly, aside from quests, was there really anything to do? I enjoyed Fallout because, while there are plenty of quests, they don't restrict you to doing them constantly nor do they restrict you to confined and segregated areas; it actually allowed you to explore a vast area, not just dinky villages. Fourth, the mixing of genres. To me, this game was an amalgamation of an FPS with a bit of dark comedy with just a tad of RPG mixed in; they would have been better off just keeping it as an RPG in my opinion. Not that this is a major issue, but the fact that everywhere you went there was porn was incredibly distracting to me. Also, why were vehicles even needed? If anything I believe Fallout should have had vehicles to get around in, it's not like there are many open areas in this game that require extensive navigating. The only good thing I found about this game were the character abilities: most of the weapons were certainly nothing special.

What's wrong with my dog?

Alright, his name is Max. The idiots that had him before us gave him heartworm. He went through treatment, recovered, and was doing alright. That's when we adopted him. He is older, although they don't know his exact age. Recently, he has gotten better at walking (he could barely walk a half-mile before), and is now walking one mile loops five days of the week (give or take). Unfortunately, he has also gained some weight, and while he weighed about eighty-five pounds when we got him, he now weighs about 115 pounds (I know). We've been working to help him lose weight by no longer sprinkling grated treats onto his food, as that was the only way that he would eat it dry (we used cans and dry food before this, hence the big weight gain). We've also eliminated the unnecessary snacks and food given to him. He's lost a few pounds so far. So anyway, today when Max woke up, he seemed tired. More tired than usual (he's a black lab). There was also a small spot of pee on his bed. Max has never done anything like this before, and has always had a bladder capable of withstanding long hours of not going. While Max usually follows you around to see what you're doing, today he just followed you and sprawled out. He has also been breathing heavily for short periods of time and has just appeared to have lost most of his energy. About three weeks ago, Max went to the vet. He tested negative for heartworm, and very other testable disease except for the one involving tall grass, which we didn't get. So, any help with this situation would be greatly appreciated as we are all worried for Max. Some additional details that may be helpful are: Max is still doing normal things throughout the day, just not as quickly or energetically as usual, and Max is also less interested in food (although it's hard to say because he hasn't liked food much anyway do to the lack of cans/treats on it),

Which is ultimately for the purpose of the other: good or evil? In stead do each have a mutual, common interest? In most faiths evil is the antagonist and good is the protagonist. Take Christianity for instance. The bible is full of heroes for righteousness and good. Joesph's bothers did evil unto him, but Joseph became great in the land of Egypt as a result. However, Joseph's high standing might not have occurred but for the evil act of his brothers. Were Joseph's brother's purpose for evil to uplift good for generations with this story of triumph, faith and hope? If evil had not influenced creation, would good would merely exist on its own merit, unhampered for eternity? For every great accomplishment of good, there is usually some aspect of evil that had or has to be restricted, overcome, shielded, refined or somehow domesticated for the civilization and goodness of man. Man himself serves his interests through both acts of good and evil. Even without regard for faith, change among civilizations is the product of both good and evil whatever the origins of this dual component of man's intellect and prowess. Maybe evil is allowed or permitted for the accomplishment of good. Let's all truly hope that good is meant to travail, but even then hell, Hades is suppose to eventually be composed of all evil.

Height and Weight related issues.?

So I turned 18 a month ago, and I don't know if i'm going to grow anymore. I never had a huge growth spurt, maximum an inch or two in a year. I'm 5' 5" right now and I weigh about 105 lbs. I haven't really gained (or lost) any weight or height in the past few years. But I am hairy (genes, my dad's hairy as well). I get facial hair, armpit and pubic hair regularly. My dad's 5' 10.5" and my mom's 5' 3". What should I eat a lot of so I can get proper nutrients. I'm a vegetarian (South Asian; Indian) which really restricts my diet.

Honey, as a mom, I just wanna give a a big ol hug! We all mess up. I am pretty sure before your stepdad was a cop, he made some dumb decisions too! Don't think of yourself as a loser or a screwup. You just messed up thats all. I always tell my kids its ok to make a mistake, but once you keep making the same mistake over and over, its not a mistake anymore.....its a habit. Habits are very hard to break. First you need to sit your stepdad down and tell him what you have been doing. He will get mad, thats a given, but I don't think it will change the way he feels about you. Tell him you need his help and that you want to change, no matter what it takes. Second, the friends....you need to lose them. Friends that encourage you to do things that are wrong are not friends. There are what I like to call "Misery Mates"! They do things and know that its wrong, but if they have someone with them, if feels better. Misery love company! Thats basically all they are. True friends are not going to encourage you to even think about being around cocaine or do things that is wrong, especially with a cop for a stepdad! The last thing you need to do is forgive yourself....even if your stepdad doesn't, you have to forgive yourself and started working toward changing. very good, but after one read its seems more descriptive of her environment than of her character and when you have to start talking abt her character with "julia was an intuitive girl...." it seems very blunt and in complete contrast to the description of her environment which flows like water. you are very good at description of the surroundings, use that to bring out the character. the character development seems very blocky, merge it with the rest of the text. when u describe the grass or the bushes bring out her thoughts abt how she believes there are secrets hidden behind them, in them/it and how when the wind blew she wanted to follow it to see where it went to see perchance where it began,< this is just a crude example to describe her curious character, her determination, start it off smoothly, ease into the character. ( i hope this helps somehow, i would want to read further)

Feeding Ducklings:How much starter crumbs do you give?

We just had a little flock of 6 abandoned ducklings. Since they were two days old, we fed them chopped spinach/grated carrots/and mashed boiled yolk til we were able to get a sack of Duckling Starter Crumbs. Since then, we fill the bottom of a small plate (8 1/2 cm diameter exactly). and feed them every day (often emptying and refilling once they get wet or soiled every two hours or so). But something struck us and made us realise what on earth we were doing was pretty reckless and rather stupid. We have no idea how much exactly to give as their daily portions. We know we should switch to pellets after 3-4 weeks, but the bag doesn't explain anything else. So we were hoping if someone here knows and can lend a hand in this dellimma. So far the ducklings seem fine, and they're now bigger and look very much like a normal 1-week old duck now. So far it feels like they're doing okay, still, we hope to know more on what we're doing. What there is and what we observe?

lets imagine this. The universe is expanding infinatly. The thing we call time is opening up like a triangle. We have every possible outcome in this triangle. We only live one existance, but really all our existences are paralleled. Lets imagine that we only observe points along this pathway. What exist is only what we observe. I keep reading about observation of the surrounding world that some amazing scientist seem to point to and imply we lack. I was just reading about inductance i hope to gain a better understanding of it but it occered to me that if someone gave me all the simple equations i could probably put them together and learn it in a way i understand. But instead im sat looking at loads of equations that have came from other equations thinking i might as well memorise these and hope i start to understand them. So many other people must do the same and rely oh others discovered facts. When it would be so much better to think for ourself and just try to put things together in a way we understand and build up out own picture. Its not like there are not thousands of things science still cant explain. For my exams i just memorise whats in a book. Equations and facts but its pointless really its just a memory test for me. I dont always understand how the equations in physics where formulated. It would take too long to explain so i have faith in what we are taught. But then something like week nuclear interaction pops up and wtf. When is science going to explain that one. . What if when people talk about observing the world around us, they are implying something different. Like we only are able to observe a fraction of what there is so out understanding is vague.. What if we have something like a photon. It has a constant string of forms it can take between wave and particle. But we cant imagine how this is possible because it oscillates between the two, between the observed time frames. We only observe it when its either particle or proton. We dont actually oberve it at all in this way but this is the way we have to imagine we observe it probably because this is actually what we observe. Like when we use a diffraction grating to diffract light. Then we observe the photoelectric effect and puzzle. What exist is only what we observe really so the intermediates dont exist to us. Therefore we cant imagine how its possible. So to have forces we have to be able to observe space as in dimensions. there has to also be a point in between the dimensions we observe so small that it doesnt exist because we never observe it. Remember my hypothesis is that only what we observe exist. Space is part of the triangular pyramid, forces one length, space another and the other is time. The lines that have no parameter are coming from one corner. This is the big bang or the start of everything from nothing. But remember as we get closer to that corner we never reach it. This is agin why we cant comprehend one over infinity. Because we dnt observe it. So what if in between what we observe there is like this sea of time, sea of space and sea of force. Correct me if im wrong but doeswnt this mean the side of the triangle pyramid that is force, exands at the same rate as space side or dimension side. This would imply that the force is needed to create space, hence hold particles apart :/ or together. Or just in position. If we could tap into it between what we actually observe then surely we could harvest the sea of the force ect then when we harvest it it would be observed :/. It sounds like a bonkers idea but its just a mad suggestion. Its not like anyone else can actually make a link between gravity and other forces, time and space and no one can comprehend the infinat sized universe.We never get to observe infinite sized space, because the triangular pyramid is just expanding and hasnt got there yet But it will exist. call me mad but your no better off because you dont know any more than i do what gravity is really and what causes it, or what weak nuclear force is, its just our way of making up what we cant explain. like wave particle duality ect. Just going on someone elses facts to support our own. It reminds me of when i do an iteration and stick in first initial value that is out. It never homes in on real answer. Instead it goes off further and further form the real answer. Maybe we should observe basics and build up new ideas from that. Chest Pain after hard fall?

on thursday afternoon, i was playing basketball in the driveway when a collision with another player (that didn't involve my chest) lead to me smacking the driveway on my chest, as well as scraping my arm. the arm is fine, but my chest is in constant pain since. when i go to take a deep breath, the tightness or bruising in my chest restricts me from getting the full breath. i also feel out of breath more than usual when doing activities. there is no redness or swelling or bruising, but i can feel somethings wrong. it is on my left side (heart side), not so much the sternum. i have a heart condition - HCM, (hyrpothropic cardio myopathy). could that be affecting this? please let me know asap on what this issue could be and what i can do . thanks. ps im 16 5'5'' 140lb

I need somebody's opinion, please!?

I am 14 years old, and I have one best friend who's really good looking really popular, and is really nice and has a good heart. We become friends 4 and a half years ago, and in first few years it was grate, I remember, and it was like a friendship from the movies. But than, lest's just put it as a guy that we bout liked chose her, not that I had andy chances anyway, and not that that has anything to do whit what happened later, because I didn't care, well, not a lot at least, but in a way , it opened my eyes that in a way she is forgetting about me and because she spend time with everybody else so much, she didn't have time for me at all... I tried not saying anything, but I would feel so bad, like there was something in me that I want to release, to get it out of my system, like it was poison, so it went on and on, and in the sumer, we ended it, we were bff's but we become just f's, who would just call each other to tell each other what's happening, and we were still very much separated. It was one of the worst times of my life. Since than, I have bean fighting and dealing with it every day, the fact that she want's to be friends, but she doesn't want to spent time with me. We bout made new friends during the sumer, but, later, my friends started liking her, and we would hang out all together ( my friends, me and her ) At first, I wasn't ok with this, but later, I started adjusting. We R going in different high schools, and I still am going to keep in touch, but after this, the fact that I guess I wasn't worth it , hanging out with, and spending time with, and paying attention to, I'm afraid that the new kids in high school aren't going to like me. I trained my nephew to not wet the bed by constantly waking him up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. I told him beforehand I was going to do this and that it was to get him to get into the habit of waking up if he had to pee. So I did this every night for about a month until he started getting up on his own to pee. Sure, it was an inconvenience for me in the short term, but not having to deal with those wet sheets and giving him confidence to do it on his own and get rid of his embarrassment in the long run was worth it.

Why does my air purifier only blow air out sideways?

Air only comes out of one side of my hepa air purifier, if you put your hand in front of it you can't even feel any air coming out of the middle, only the far extreme of one side. To feel the main breeze of air you actually have to put your hand completely to the side of the purifier, where there isnt even a grate for air to come out of anymore, and it feels like the air is coming out of the solid plastic, which is really weird. Is this normal?

My 4 yr old won't behave in public or with other children?

I really need some good advise, I have a 4 yr old and she is such a sweetheart, shes smart and with adults shes very charming, but she is an only child and she does not interact with other kids very well. I suffered from anorexia for all of my late teens and most of my twenties. I have no desire to go into all the details because the most important thing is that I recovered. You are not "a terrible anorexic". Anorexia isn't something you try hard at or try to get better at. You are just not anorexic. This doesn't make your suffering any less. Look at what you have just written. Is that any way to live? Where has this illness got you in the past two years? Whilst you are starving and binging and vomiting and thinking about food, your life is carrying on without you. Don't make the same mistake I did and realise that I had missed out on the best years of my life to an illness that I was able to fight if I chose to. Somebody with terminal cancer has no control over their illness. Someone with an eating disorder has the option to fight it and I suggest you get help today and start fighting towards a healthy and happy future. The alternative is that you wake up one day and realise you are lonely, infertile and have failed to achieve the things you wanted to in life. Good luck.
